Our dogs love lying on their Kuranda beds. They keep them off of cold drafty floors during the winter and provides excellent ventilation in the hot summer months.
Though they benefit greatly from Kuranda beds, we don't have enough for everyone. If you would like to donate a bed at a special wholesale price so another rescue dog can sleep in comfort, you can do so directly from the Kuranda web site.
Ravin is a lucky young girl that she made it to BSRR so she could get help. She was in a kill shelter in South Dakota. She is only a year old and came in with a litter of 5 nursing pups and Ravin had Mastitis. If BSRR would take her in the shelter would have their vet do the mastitis surgery to save her life. She arrived to BSRR very skinny, sick and with a drain tube hanging from her belly - she was a sore sight but had so many loves and kisses to give.
Ravin needs to learn to walk on a leash without trying to give kisses at the same time! She is learning some manners at her foster mom's but most importantly, she's simply such a love and so wants to cuddle and be close to you. She did well with the vet's two small boys and reacted very appropriately to them. She did not like the cats at the vet so we would say a no cat home, however, she's young enough we're sure she could be trained to learn to live with cats. Right now we are concentrating on putting some weight on her and getting her well again. Having puppies at such a young age really has taken a toll on her body but she's doing so good healing. She will be ready for adoption in a couple of weeks probably.
Oh, wait, did we say that Ravin has her beautiful god given long tail?? It looks very natural on her because of her smaller size.
