Our dogs love lying on their Kuranda beds. They keep them off of cold drafty floors during the winter and provides excellent ventilation in the hot summer months.
Though they benefit greatly from Kuranda beds, we don't have enough for everyone. If you would like to donate a bed at a special wholesale price so another rescue dog can sleep in comfort, you can do so directly from the Kuranda web site.
GREAT NEWS - OPIE HAS AN APPLICATION PENDING ALREADY FOR A NEW HOME.
Opie is a very beautiful, rare breed called Dogue de Bordeaux - remember the Turner and Hooch movie, Opie is a Hooch dog. He is going to be a very large dog so needs someone wanting to have a large breed dog that also slobbers a bit. Opie was surrendered due to a divorce and has been very well cared for and socialized. He lived with 2 little boys, other dogs and a cat. He does well with other dogs with a proper introduction and is okay with cats, likes to chase them but will call off of them. He's a quiet boy, learning crate training at his foster moms. He is good with people and very friendly. Applicants for Opie must have prior bully breed rescue and the knowledge necessary to care for and raise this breed of dog. If you do not qualify, please do not apply for him as his foster mom will be very careful in placing him in a new home to be certain it's the best possible home for Opie.
Opie is not yet a year old so still have some growing to do and learning. He is a purebred with papers but was never registered by his former family.
