Just this side of Heaven is a place called RainbowBridge
When an animal dies - one that has been especially close to someone here - that pet goes to RainbowBridge. There are meadows and hills for our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water, sunshine and cozy beds, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they each miss someone very special, someone who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body quivers. Suddenly, he breaks from the group, flying over the green grass - his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain on your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet - so long gone but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross the RainbowBridge together.

Prince/Gus
From a horrible past you came to BSRR and we promised you that you would find your forever loving home. You never suffered again, instead you were dearly loved and well cared for by your new Dad. You have gone to the Bridge, and you have taken a piece of his heart with you. Until you meet again big boy. God speed Prince/Gus.
Daisey
Driving Miss Daisey, that is what we all called her. When she came to BSRR, she was in need of surgery. Well, she had her surgery and a couple of months of rehabilitation. During that time, all who met her fell in love with her. There was something about our Driving Miss Daisey that grabbed hold of our hearts! She will be greatly mourned by her adopted Mom Resha and family, along with her foster Mom, and all of BSRR. God speed Driving Miss Daisey...til we meet again.
Abbi
Abbi - 9 mos old. Too young for you to leave. Enjoy playing with all the others at the Bridge, until we meet again. God speed little Abbi Dabbi.
Tico

Max
Max,
You were only with us a little over a year. You fit right in from the start and filled a spot in my heart that was still aching from the loss of another friend. You are and always will be my "kissing dog". We had several affectionate names for you, Misser, MR.Max, Maximus, Mr. Wiggles, Das Helmet. I think I needed you just as much as you needed us. My only regret is that we didn't have you longer. Say hi to Raleigh and Sweetie for us. All our love. - Mandy, Todd, Samson & Simon
