Our dogs love lying on their Kuranda beds. They keep them off of cold drafty floors during the winter and provides excellent ventilation in the hot summer months.
Though they benefit greatly from Kuranda beds, we don't have enough for everyone. If you would like to donate a bed at a special wholesale price so another rescue dog can sleep in comfort, you can do so directly from the Kuranda web site.

Update on Carly: Carly is now living in a home environment with her new foster mom and dog pals and is doing exceptionally well. She is naturally easy-going and likes to be around other dogs. Her dog pals tell us that the feeling is mutual, despite the situation being so new.
Her foster mom reports that after just a few days, it is obvious she is a gentle, loving, sweet and sensitive spirit, with just a splash of playfulness when she is feeling confident. Even at this early stage, Carly craves approval, attention, and desperately wants trust and guidance from her human leader. It is clear she still has initial fear issues, especially around men.
Despite the fact that Carly's new home environment is very foreign to her, Carly loves being in the house and in the yard, exploring and getting to know her new surroundings. Carly asks to go outside when she needs to go potty and has not had one accident in the house, nor has she had any destructive behavior to date. Despite being in a new home envirnonment for just a few days, she already knows what 'toys' belong to her, and which to leave alone.
Carly, more than anything else, wants a sense of security and to be shown what is expected of her. She is already well versed in basic commands (sit, stay, leave it, etc); she walks well on a leash and is very interested in the world around her, but is extremely responsive when told to "leave it" Carly loves to ride in the car, chase a ball, go for a walk, or just lounge about in the backyard. She tends to eat her food a bit too quickly, but has learned to take treats gently from human fingers/hands.
