Just this side of Heaven is a place called RainbowBridge
When an animal dies - one that has been especially close to someone here - that pet goes to RainbowBridge. There are meadows and hills for our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water, sunshine and cozy beds, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they each miss someone very special, someone who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body quivers. Suddenly, he breaks from the group, flying over the green grass - his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain on your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet - so long gone but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross the RainbowBridge together.

Tebo
I would
like to share the passing of, as he was known, Carson adopted August 22,
2010.
Tebo, as he became known in our family, and I made the drive from Laurel
to Spokane together. I like to think that drive cemented our bond forever.
Tebo was truly a gentle giant. Not a mean bone in his body. Immediately
made friends with our other dogs. He didn't become the champion of
anything but our hearts. Touch him and he was yours, no matter who you
were. He loved being near his humans and lived most of his life, as best
friend to our Schnauzer.
He didn't have such a great start in life but was able to live a full
life.
The big guy will be missed.
Sadie
Sadie May Ball, born 5/15/2008 who crossed the Rainbow Bridge 1/13/2019.Sadie was cremated 1/15/2019 and is resting in a beautiful cedar urn sitting or our bookcase. Sadie was adopted by Jim & Sharon Ball March 11, 2012. Sadie is survived her two best friends Buddy & Benji plus her adoptive parents Jim & Sharon Ball. She was the light of our life, and seemed to love people. She was a very protective mother and when at the dog park she would get right in and break up a fight between other dogs especially any dog harassing Buddy or Benji.
Jasper
My Beloved Jasper,
In 2013, you came to live with me after your timely rescue in New Mexico. You were near death and had lived to be a middle age dog in deplorable conditions. When I came to pick you up that day, you barely resembled a dog. After nursing you back to health, I then started to realize the true torment you had lived through.
Over the next year, every person who met you told me that I was crazy to try to rehab you. At times, I admit, I believed that they were correct, but perhaps, that is why Jasper, we were ultimately meant to be together: we were both too stubborn and perhaps, too hopeful to give up. I thank you for giving me the gift of both perseverance and courage to make up my own mind. I am so blessed that you were ultimately meant to be my forever dog.
Since you left this earth, thoughts of your torment and daily fears still haunt me, but as much as I miss your darling demeanor and goofy daily antics, I am so relieved that now, my sweet boy, you are finally free of all your demons and fears that tormented your daily life when you walked this earth.
I love and miss you, sweet Jasper, more than you will ever know. Thank you for teaching me that in the end, love, patience and kindness truly can conquer all the darkness of this world.
Love, Mama Elizabeth (and your Rottie sisters, Lily and Abby who taught you so much)
Hanna
Hanna stole our hearts as soon as we picked her up from BSRR. She spoiled us rotten with her gentle, easy going, sweet demeanor. She loved her Wubba and running circles throughout the house (especially after bath time!) On sunny warm days, she enjoyed sunbathing in the grass. She loved her girls and grew to love Dad and Grandpa after learning not all men were abusive. She followed us girls everywhere we went, she had to be a part of the action! Although, if the action involved hiking the mountain behind our house she’d much rather pass! She definitely preferred the neighborhood strolls.
She was very protective of us, even scaring off some intruders! She loved her family and we had a very special connection with her. She lived a wonderful life full of adventures. We are so grateful for the 8 years we were given with her. We love you Hanna Banana!
