Just this side of Heaven is a place called RainbowBridge
When an animal dies - one that has been especially close to someone here - that pet goes to RainbowBridge. There are meadows and hills for our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water, sunshine and cozy beds, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they each miss someone very special, someone who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body quivers. Suddenly, he breaks from the group, flying over the green grass - his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain on your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet - so long gone but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross the RainbowBridge together.

Kaiser
Kaiser,
We loved you before we met you; and we loved you even more after that. Your first four years before us were very difficult. When we adopted you, you were scared of everything. I remember the weekend we brought you home; you leaned down to sniff a pipe and your tags bumped into it, startling you so much you squealed and shook and hid behind my legs. In the four months we had you, you helped us to appreciate the simpler, quieter things in life like a nice walk and napping in the sunshine in the back yard, cuddling in my lap. It breaks our hearts that our time with you was so short and we can’t wait to be with you again -emotionally healed- across the rainbow bridge.

We love you,

Kelci
Sweet Kelci. When I rescued you from a shelter in California and brought you here to save you, I didn't realize that I would also come to love you. After knowing you for just a short while, it became obvious that your home was meant to be here with me; we should have had years together. Alas, the fates decreed differently and I lost you when our life together had barely begun---suddenly and tragically, you were gone far too soon. I'm glad I was there with you as you left for the Bridge and that you took the love I feel for you on your journey. It is my fervent hope that it brought you a measure of comfort in your travel between the eternities. Goodbye for now, beautiful girl, but know that we will meet again someday.
Kirby
Kirby was a young pup when his family took him in 'temporarily' until he could find a home. But Kirby grew on them. They took him to obedience where he became the 'class clown'. When he did something he wasn't supposed to and got caught he would look at them as if to say 'What, are you talking to me?' and stick his tongue out. He gave them love and laughter. On December 25, 2005 Kirby went to the Bridge at the young age of 6 with liver failure. Kirby will forever be with the people he loved.
