The Baxter-boy is a big, physical, lumbering brute of a dog! He's all muscle and boney head, but buried inside somewhere is also a super-sized heart!

Don't let this hulking dog intimidate you too much. While he will require someone physically capable of holding onto him, he doesn't mean to charge around like the proverbial bull in a china cabinet. He's just never been taught any differently. And he is teachable, especially if you have a yummy treat or a fun toy to negotiate with!

Beware the leaner! Baxter is a big fan of physical affection and he wants to be super close as much as he can. Looking for a snuggle buddy? Room in the bed for one more? Baxter's your guy! But if there's no room for his big bottom on your furniture, he's content to lie at your feet too. Baxter is often found beneath his foster mom's desk while she is working. ...

We adore Baxter. He is neutered now, current on all vaccinations, and
microchipped. He crates well, does not jump fences, likes kids and cats
and female dogs, but can be sort of over bearing with males.

Baxter learning to walk on a  leash and gets very stressed and anxious when
he has to be leashed. But off leash, he rarely wanders more than 15 or
20 feet away. He is nearing a year old.

Hard to believe that someone didn't know I would be a large dog when they took me in as a puppy.  So now I am homeless because they were clueless.  I really need to get me a new home.  Aren't I a handsome guy?

Please contact Black Dog Animal Rescue, Inc.  and ask for Britney E. Wallesch (307)640-0092.
