Update:

5-25-15 Solomon went to Petco and did very well.  Every stranger gave him a hot dog and he went up and took them.  Everyone pet him even when he sort of moved away as he was unsure. He took treats from kids as well.  He wasn't interested in the cat, ferrets, guinea pigs or birds.  He gained more confidence as we walked up and down the aisles and didn't move away from people or carts.

Solomon has made great progress. He just bounces with joy when he sees us.  I am able to take him into our acre fenced field off leash and he stays with me.  He comes when I call and now comes to my other half.  He walked with a stranger in the field with us and came and took hot dogs from him also.

Solomon was picked up as a stray in Oklahoma.  It was obvious he had been abused and was very fearful of people.  Because he was not adoptable thru the shelter, they reached out to rescues.  We agreed to take him and give him the rehabilitation he needed.
PawsNPilots flew him from OK to CO and he was ground transported to WY.  The very first day we started rubbing and messaging him.  Although he was scared, he never offered to bite, just was very still.  After a week, he started rolling over on his side and lifting his legs so we could rub his belly and legs. After one month he is now coming for the rubs, pets and messages.  He is getting personality and for the most part, is a very happy boy.  He does the bouncies for his food.  He is learning to trust more as the days go by.  He is even letting a man give him the rubs and scratches.
You just need to move slow around him, he has even come up and licked a few people he didn't know.
