Kaiser came to us a terrified dog.  His owner from 10 weeks old wanted to get rid of him right away and was going to take him out and shoot him if we didn't take him.  So we rallied up our wonderful transport people who hopped into action to save this boy. 
Surprisingly 3 days later he climbed into my lap and became my best friend.  However he was not keen with my other half and was only good with men if I was present, otherwise he would run.  With a little more time he learned to come to everyone he met with his kryptonite-hot dogs.
He got neutered and full medical and was good with the staff at the vets, just cautious.
He will need a home that understands where he has come from and work with him at his pace to overcome his fears of the world.
He really is a sweet and gentle boy.
