Update: 10/31/06 - Mimi attended the Pet-a-ween contest at Big R in Billings, MT - we dressed up as Petey - the most famous pit of our time. She was not crazy about the make-up, but tolerated it well. She was great at the event, and when we went home to wash the make-up of one of the easiest dogs I have bathed. I will be posting picts of her as Petey and with my 6 yr old girls who think she is great!! My 6 yr olds have no problem walking Mimi at Petsmart, always supervised. She melts when you pet her, or tries to fit in your lap.

Mimi is gentle and loving. Smart, with an independent streak. Wants to please and responds well to the pinch collar correction. She is interested in cats, but corrects off, and does not fixate. She is learning basic commands. Mimi is good with most dogs, but it seems the bigger, the better. She is working on crate training and really likes her crate. Mimi has been to petsmart and other public events and has done great, just a little lady. She enjoys meeting everyone and has no problems with other dogs in public while on lead. She does need a person that will set dominance, she will respect that.
Couple Facts about Pits: They are the ONLY dog to grace the cover of Time 3 times. The Little Rascals dog 'Petey' was a Pit Bull Terrier.
