LOOK AT THAT SMILE

We are posting this beautiful boy for his current caretaker who is in Kennewick WA in hopes someone has it in their heart to provide this boy with the home that he needs.  He has had a tough life which probably caused or exacerbated his medical condition.

I have a Rottweiler, named Bruce that had belonged to a family member whose health declined and they stopped taking care of themselves and him. I saw how thin he was and decided to get him veterinary care and find him a home. I have gotten him veterinary care and through blood work we have discovered he has exocrine pancreatic insufficiency. He has to be on medication for the rest of his life because his body cannot digest food on its own. For a short time I have had him at my house and I really need to find a place for him to go soon. My landlord does not want him here and Bruce is used to having a big yard with 6' fences to spend all day in and I don't have that. I have to keep him in a room in my house and he has to be supervised outside because if he wanted to jump the fence he could, although he has never tried. He's never been around children to my knowledge so I don't know how he would do. He lived with 2 smaller
female dogs. I don't know how he would do with male dogs or dogs his size. I have 2 little dogs of my own and they do not like that he is here, as it is their home, so I have not been letting them spend time together. I have let Bruce meet one of them and they seemed to do ok with people holding them on leashes with the ability to pull them away from each other if need be. I am not trained in animal behavior and have not wanted to risk any of them getting injured. I don't know how he would do in a home with cats. I have a rabbit that he seems to want to chase but we do not let him get the chance. I do not know a whole lot about any behavior problems he may have, so far it seems like he doesn't like people in uniform such as the mailman or ups guy but seems to watch or ignore other people walking by. I do think though if he felt threatened he would do something about it. I think he may have separation anxiety because he does not like being left alone in the room he is in.

Here is an article on exocrine pancreaticin sufficiency.  It is definintely a manageable condition that can be treated in different ways.
