We got Rocky in at the shelter here 10-12-11 after his owners called and said they were moving and wanted him gone asap.  Poor Rocky has lived his entire life on the end of a very heavy chain and we were happy to actually get him into the shelter so he could finally be off that horrible chain and not end up on another one in some junk yard.  However, the Artesia shelter is very small and we need this awesome boy out asap.

 Rocky is about 5 years old, he is about 76 pounds but needs to gain some weight – probably needs to be about 90 pounds.  He is up to date on shots and microchipped; he is not neutered.  He loves kids and did great with both male and female dogs at the shelter (included female pitbull and male boxer) and tested well with a small, male poodle; he didn’t even mind the cats and just sniffed at them.  He LOVES people and is just an awesome boy.  He has the big head and is just gorgeous in spite of his crappy living conditions.
