Our dogs love lying on their Kuranda beds. They keep them off of cold drafty floors during the winter and provides excellent ventilation in the hot summer months.

Though they benefit greatly from Kuranda beds, we don't have enough for everyone. If you would like to donate a bed at a special wholesale price so another rescue dog can sleep in comfort, you can do so directly from the Kuranda web site.

Ben is a big, beautiful boy originally from Missoula, MT. He lost his owner to brain cancer and other family members could not keep him. He is neutered and up to date on his vaccinations. He is good with other dogs, ok with cats - needs supervision at first to tell him to leave them alone, but has been good with my two cats, is good with kids, recommend older children as he is very large and strong and can easily knock them over. He is somewhat head shy and very wary of men so he needs to be introduced to them slowly. He has apparently had a bad experience at the vet clinic so should be introduced to the vet prior to going for an exam so he can get comfortable with the vet. He knows some basic commands, like heel, sit, down, stay and shake. He needs work walking on leash as he likes to pull. I have been using a training collar on him and he is coming along nicely. He wants to please and is a quick learner. He has some moderate separation anxiety and is learning to stay in a crate when I am gone. I have two 6 lb Toy Fox Terriers, a neutered male border collie cross and two Wirehaired Pointing Griffons. He has done great with all of the dogs other than my male Griffon who trys to play pretty rough and Ben doesn't like it. He will does fine with all the other dogs and has backed off when both my little dogs got after him when he was being pushy. He will bark when people come to the house or he hears cars pull up in the driveway. He is in need of a home with someone who will show him boundaries and teach him some better leash manners. He rides wonderfully in the car, with no carsickness. He just looks out the window and doesn't bark or anything like that. The marks on his nose are from him rubbing it on the crate door when I am at work out of my home two days a week. They are not permanent.
