Hi!
I'm Tucker. I came to Big Sky Rottie Rescue after some nice people in northern Montana found me roaming around looking for some guidance. Since early April, I have been living near Bozeman, Montana with my new foster mom and my two Rottie siblings (a male and a female) and let me tell you, I am loving my new life! When I was first rescued, I was really worried about everything and even growled occasionally when I was fearful. I had no idea about living in a house or being loved and adored by humans. Since my rescue, I am becoming a happy guy. I was fully housetrained in a matter of days and after pulling for a minute or two, I walk very nicely on a leash. I wait for my meals, take treats gently and I already know some basic commands.
Even though it's been such a short time, my Mom says I am pretty much one of the most amazing, beautifully tempered Rottie boys she has ever met. Mom says I am not only one of the most handsome guys she has ever met, but also a sweet, sensitive, fun-loving, easy-going, loveable oaf of a guy who just wants to be loved and adored by people and animals alike. Right now, I love knowing I can depend on my family, and since confidence is not my thing, Mom says I need continued strong human leadership, training and
guidance to help me understand the world around me. Since I am also very young and energetic, I am eager to learn, and do whatever I am supposed to do to be the best boy ever.

My favorites include anything that involves food, walks, hikes, playing with other dogs, learning new commands, and yes, one of my favorite activities--playing ball in the backyard. I think the only thing in life I don't like is being scolded. Currently, my foster family is teaching me that I don't have to worry as long as I have strong and confident leadership in my life.

Since I love, love, love to play with other dogs, my mom says I would do best in an active home with lots of activity and maybe a confident doggy brother and/or sister to show me the ropes. I do well with kids, but bear in mind, I am not always aware of my size, so maybe older kids would be best for me. My Rottie brother is an older guy so as much as I want to play with him, he growls at me, so I tell him I'm sorry and I am now taking the hint that playtime is best with other dogs. I guess I forget how big I am, even though I'm as gentle as a lamb.

Interested in me? Well, I'm not going to lie to you. My mom has fallen hard for me and she thinks I am truly deserving of nothing less than an amazing new home and family that will help me to continue to be the very special and deserving guy that i am.
