Danny/Referral

Just look at that smile!!!  Can you believe someone moved, and left him behind?

Kato decided that he didn’t like his new name and wouldn’t answer to it, so he is back to being called Danny.  He is approximately 4 yrs old. He was chained in a back yard, and his owners moved away and left him behind.  For 2 months the neighbors fed him. Then animal control picked him up and he ended up in a shelter for 2 months. Danny is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and gets along well with dogs especially females, he gets along with male dogs that aren’t pushy. Danny lost his confidence and will need to re-learn that from another confident dog. When he came into his foster home,  he didnt know what grass was or what it was to run and play in a yard!  He rides very well in a vehicle. He will do very well in a home without small children due to his large size. He is learning manners and how a house dog lives.  We do not recommend  a home with cats as he shows way too much interest in them at this time.  Danny has bonded right away with his foster Mom and has no problems with his foster Dad, although he is  hesitant around all men in the beginning.  We wonder if he was hurt by a man in his old home situation.  Danny is very well behaved when visiting the Vet clinic and everyone there fell in love with him.

Danny is a very large Rottweiler and will need a home that is willing to continue his training.  He is very treat motivated!  He walks well on leash, and has learned to “sit” for his treats.  He is what we call a “Velcro” dog – he will follow his foster Mom everywhere she goes!  He will follow her into every room in the house, just to be near her!
