Athena

Athena is a very young female pup that may be a mix. She has some tendon problems due to distal myopathy, a form of muscular dystrophy. She will require a special home that is willing to work with her. She will require someone that will continue her therapy to help her stand up on her feet better. Athena is very young, maybe 4-5 months old and has improved greatly in the 2 months that she has been receiving therapy. Her tendons (front and rear legs) are stretched on the backs of her legs, and shortened on the fronts of her legs. She walks fine and runs to play. She is learning all of her basic commands – sit, stay, down, and come. She is a fast learner, and is very smart! She has lots of love to give to her family. Athena is currently living in a foster home with a great foster Mom – in fact her foster Mom says that Athena is such a loving girl that she will hate to let her go – but will be happy when she gets her loving “forever” home. Please fill out an application today to give this sweet baby the loving home she deserves. 042210
