Description:
Any potential adopter must be experienced in giving belly rubs, as Prince’s favorite pastime is laying upside-down at some ones feet, getting a belly rub. He will bound up to you, and just collapse with all four up in the air. He has had a severe impact trauma at some time in the past, and shows the results today. His right front leg below the knee has been shattered, and healed without treatment. He also appears to have suffered nerve damage on the left side of his face, which gives him a cross-eyed appearance. (the vet evaluation suggested that his activities should be limited ie. no agility, or other severe or repeated impact sports) He has no idea that there is anything wrong. He is HB, good with kids, ignored horses, is interested in cats maybe a little too much. He gets along with most dogs, other than some smaller ones. His present foster thinks he is one of the silliest and happiest dogs he has been around, and he owns a commercial boarding kennel and has known a few. Prince will meow like a very small kitten. I was letting some other dogs out of the kennel, and heard him. One of the people that boards here has also heard him. He does it when I give attention to other dogs. I thought one of my cats had a voice change, and a death wish to follow me into the kennel! He wants all the attention he can get! What a sweetie. We are testing him more thoroughly on cats, and will update this site when we know for sure whether he gets along well with cats, as of now, we marked him “not good with cats” since he needs more testing. Thank you for your patience! UPDATE: Prince is not trustworthy around cats at all. He has not harmed any, however we suggest that he go to a home without cats – for their safety. 050803 Laurel, MT-RD
