Roxy would do well in a single person home or a home with a couple.  She has never been around children and therefore would not recommend that combination.  She is house broke and when not playing with her tennis balls or toys just lounges around.  She enjoys laying in the yard njoying the world.

Roxy has learned some things in rescue.  She has learned to sit for her food, learned the word NO, is getting better with some dogs and is losing weight.  She can now sit a normal butt sit.  She loves to be scratched and rubbed and does a nice butt rumba when scratching/rubbing the butt.  She really likes human attention and part of her behavioral problems with other dogs is jealousy.  She is learning to not growl with the ball in her mouth and if you work with her, she will drop it for you to throw.  She is a tennis ball fanatic.

Roxy is now in rescue.
She rode well in the car and layed down for the transport home.  She showed no interest in the other dogs in their kennels so I moved a boy next to her.  She gave him a little growl, got corrected and all has been wonderful since.  She uses the dog door.  She has a little resource guarding but her owner says that is her fault as she used to play a game with her.  Roxy needs to loose 10-15 pounds, as she is very heavy.  We have put her on a diet with foods with no corn/wheat/or soy and that should help her weight and her coat.

Hi, I am Roxy, I am looking for a new home ASAP.  My Mom is very sick, undergoing treatment and can no longer care for me.  She is heartbroken and if no one takes me, she is going to put me to sleep.  She says I am  a very smart spoiled girl.

I am  purebred and turned 6years  in April.   I have never liked small children.
Not sure why.  I have lived in the country free to come and go as I liked and never left the yard to go to the neighbors. I  grew up with my Mom and my Dad who left 3yrs ago and had one child left at home.  He graduated this yr and is now in college.
