Just this side of Heaven is a place called RainbowBridge
When an animal dies - one that has been especially close to someone here - that pet goes to RainbowBridge. There are meadows and hills for our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food and water, sunshine and cozy beds, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing: they each miss someone very special, someone who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; his eager body quivers. Suddenly, he breaks from the group, flying over the green grass - his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain on your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet - so long gone but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross the RainbowBridge together.

Baby
My husband first spotted our "Baby" girl at Petsmart; she was with Rich, a BSRR member. Baby came from Idaho and recently had a litter of pups; she was about to be put down because she had been roaming the streets as a stray and also because she was a Rottweiler. The wonderful people at BSRR rescued her and brought her to Montana where we adopted her and gave Baby her "forever" home. Baby bonded quickly with our family of three kids, two dogs, two cats, and three rabbits. She eventually became my companion and was always by my side. Baby loved car rides, her red Jolly ball, going for long walks and ice cream cones.
During her last year of life, she was slowing down, turning grey around the muzzle and limping from arthritis but would still occasionally chase her red ball across the yard. She loved to give and receive hugs. Always a beautiful loving dog, Baby will never be forgotten. She was my first Rottweiler and I miss her so much it hurts. Until we meet again, Big Girl---I love and miss you.

Bacchus
In loving memory of Bacchus, he was a much loved member of his family. He was only eight years old when he passed away on April 3.
Basia
Basia was my brown eyed girl. She got so excited when you pet her. She would "talk" to you if you stopped and jump around the room. She had longer nails that clicked when she walked, like such a lady. I called her my princess. She was my loyal friend and companion for 10 years. She was my kid and I miss her every day. We love you and miss you Basia!

Bear
AJ, my husband, brought the little pup home to us in Laurel on a cold blizzard night from Bozeman in December 1997. He was an excellent boy who showed us the strength, intellegence and unconditional love a Rottweiler can give. He was a fishing and camping buddy and an all around good guy. Bear was diagnosed with lymphoma and we let him go three months later in August 2003. We believe he led us to Jake, he wouldn't have wanted us to be without a Rottie. We love you and miss you Bear!
